Do you qualify for a FREE Eye test? Your eye test is completely free under the NHS if you are: - 60 or over
- Under 16
- A full time student aged 16, 17 or18
- If you or your partner receive Income Support; Income based Jobseekers Allowance; Pension Credit guarantee credit; Tax Credit and have a Tax Credit Exemption Certificate.
- Named on a valid HC2 certificate.
- Registered blind/partially sighted.
- Suffer from diabetes/glaucoma.
- Considered to be at risk of glaucoma by an ophthalmologist.
- Over 40 and are the parent/brother/sister/child of a person that has glaucoma.
- Been prescribed complex lenses under the NHS optical voucher scheme.
Following the eye test you may also be eligible for an NHS voucher which entitles you towards the cost of your glasses or contact lenses. Again there are criteria that you must fulfil to be eligible, these include: - Under 16
- Full time student aged 16, 17 or 18.
