About Us

Pharmacists are highly trained healthcare professionals.  They have studied 4 years at university and then 1 year completing work based training followed by professional exams allowing Membership of the prestigious Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.  During their study they cover the technologies used to design, develop and manufacture drugs, how they work and affect the body and what would be the usage, side effects, interactions and cautions associated with each drug.  In addition Pharmacists are trained in advising in the treatment of most common ailments ranging from coughs and colds to athletes foot.

Pharmacists are now increasingly being called upon by the government to perform tasks such as medication usage reviews and health checks.

At Kings we have a private consultation room whereby patients can have a word in confidence with the pharmacist.  The pharmacist will recommend the most suitable course of action or refer you to another healthcare professional such as your GP if necessary.

If you have a health query and cannot get out to see a pharmacist then please fill in the form below, and a pharmacist will reply to your question as soon as possible.

In order for the pharmacist to give an accurate answer please include as much relevant detail as possible such as:

  • Who is it for?
  • What are the symptoms? (including appearance such as sprains or rashes)
  • What action have you taken so far?
  • Are you on any other medication?
